Looking for some input as to where to start and what time of year is best for a 3-5 day trip on the upper ST. Croix river?
Nice three day trip
I did a three day trip on the St Croix about four years ago with my family. We put in at Riverside Landing and pull out on Hwy 70. One can put in further up but water level can be a problem. You can also do a few day on the Namekagon and finish on the St Croix. Do not camp at Norway Point Landing (St Croix) it has road access and locals like come in there and cat fish all night while having malt based beverages if you know what I mean.

My friend and I went down from Taylor Falls to the Mississippi River…took 4 days.
GORGEOUS.We started the day after the 4th of July and had the river to ourselves. It rained alot but that brought out the eagles and made it cooler. Rain gear a necessity anyway… Campsites were clean and empty.
Great trip…
easy trip too and lots of firewood.
