Sunny and 50s today so I got on the river for the first time since it hit flood stage several weeks ago. The flow is now down to twice normal from five times normal (scary). Still chunks of wood floating by and a nice healthy current to paddle against.
Similar day on the Grand. It’s great to get out.

I took my Osprey since its light and I carried it through a vineyard and 2 soybean fields for the first time. Not as easy as I expected. The Osprey drives against current pretty well and it’s also fun for playing in eddies. I planned to go for a long upstream paddle but like rival51 ended up turning around after about 45 minutes…and am also a bit sore.
