Star port had mount

Hi guys,

I recently got the pelican catch 100 and I’ve ordered the star port hd mount to use a flag. What size screws should I use to install? it’s going on the back of the kayak so don’t have inside access. Will probably use self tapping screws unless you recommend something better.

Can’t help you with the sizing; just wanted to welcome you to the paddling community.

You might consider rivets. I’m not familiar with the star mount so don’t know what size screw or if rivets would work.

What size are the holes/slots in the mount? How thick is the plastic? How tall and heavy is the flag? Do you have any access to the area? Like could you get a stick in there.
