I bought a used aqua bound AMT expedition. The paddle will not slide together. Super tight: actually can’t get the last inch in.The ferrule is a plastic insert. Do I sand it, oil, wd40 or…?

lightly… do a search, quite common with AquaBound paddles for some reason.

Don’t use oil or WD40.
Before removing material
Try some silicone lube spray
Graphite powder
Worked well for me.
use fine grit sand paper
like 220 or above, and a light touch. It doesn’t take much. finish with some spray silicone, just a little.
