I’m setting up a school and rental fleet here in Virginia through my paddle club Virginia Paddlers Association. I’d like to get your input on which recreational kayaks you would recommend for use on Flatwater and Class I-II rock gardens and ledges.
Naturally we’d like a kayak to be relatively fast and track reasonably well on the flatwater, but turn well enough to avoid most of the rocks in the rapids.
The Rivers we are running are Cowpasture, Jackson, Maury, James, New, Shenandoah, Tye. We don’t expect to take these kayaks into anything above a strong II.
Thanks for your input

OT Jolt ?
Couple of good
ones might be a Dagger Approach or a Dagger Blackwater 10.5. Also the Pyranha Master TG.
The liveries on the Upper Delaware
River use OT Loons and Otters. The poly link 3 resists just about anything the weekend warriors can do to it. The extra weight does not matter in this case
