Wondering if anyone has any paddling recommendations for the Barryville, NY area (other than the Delaware River). Looking for a small lake or pond that is canoe/kayak friendly with relatively easy access. Thanks!

Mongaup Pond is a nice small pond too. The campground there though is probably closed by now.
There are other small ponds and lakes in the very fringe of the catskills in Sullivan county though you can check out… nothing too large but very nice and quiet, usually.

Ha, I’d love to check out the Rio again (haven’t been there since it was drained) but I’m backpacking in the catskills, probably not too far from there, this weekend… might be somewhat east of Mongaup Pond (at least on the trails between Mongaup and Slide mtn road.
