Sun and Moon Data for One Day

-- Last Updated: Jan-16-06 12:12 PM EST --

This website is like a local tide chart except "You can obtain the times of sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, transits of the Sun and Moon, and the beginning and end of civil twilight, along with information on the Moon's phase by specifying the date and location"
http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneDay.html

This is a very handy website to see how much daylight you will have for any given day in the future when planning a paddling trip that will have a late afternoon starting time. Also useful for planning moonlight paddling trips.

Very handy
My GPS also gives that info (judging twilight by the transits for oneself) as well as giving me solunar tables for fishing, exact time of day, location, altitude, barometric trends, etc. It’s good to be well informed.

Taj

So does my GPS
But it doesn’t have a feature that will let me see all this infomation for next week or next month.

Nice for planning into
the future.

Thank you kindly and pleasant waters to ya.
