Sunrise to Sunset Atlantic Beach, NC a photographic story

We spent a few days at my sister’s and her husband’s place on Atlantic Beach with them and Carol’s eldest sister and husband. The sunrises and sunsets were nature’s art at some of its finest. It is soul filling to slow down and just observe the wonder and miracle of this world we call home.

For those that may not know if you click on the first photo you can then view them near full screen size. it took me a while before I realized that a number of years ago.

Very nice, relaxing just looking at them.

Down where I am (FL), I wonder (I’m sure it’s been done) if anyone has shot a morning sun on the Atlantic side, then drive over to the gulf side & took a setting sun picture (though, how would you prove it’s the same day).

Even better, with a kayak launch on the east side, then that same kayak landing on the west. (the inference here is that is one fast paddler)

I see where you are coming from. It would be easy to do in the Keys. I-4 from Daytona to St. Pete with a time stamp in the photo’s properties wouldn’t be too hard to do. Then there are the panhandle beaches facing south over the gulf.

Atlantic Beach happens to run close to east and west facing south out to sea. I am used to a north south or northeast to southwest beach. The tip of the coastal barrier Islands I camp at provide over the water views of sunrises and sunsets.

Some nice looking beaches/breaks. I am a sucker for clean waves. :call_me_hand:

US East Waveski Association is running it’s annual competition at Nags Head, NC, at the end of this month. I was tempted to load up my surf crafts on the top of the new ride and do a surfari. But haven’t figure it into my schedule and will pass this year. Maybe next year. Those are some beautiful beaches.
