Looking for locations around Ohio, WV, Kentucky, Penn, etc… where my husband and i can tent camp right on the water so we can have our kayaks at camp with us and not have to drive to put in somewhere. We are not looking for a paddle in campsite as we are not quite there yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
There are many state parks in SC that have lake side camping spots.
Try “army core of engineers” parks. All the ones I’ve ever stayed in are on damns and have waterfront sites. If you’re willing to travel kerr lake in NC is beautiful. We’d weekend camp there a few times every summer
