anyone ever put a textured bottom in their boat with a paint and sand compound (or something to that effect)? if so…how did you do it?
I’m not sure why one would want to do
that to a kayak or canoe. I don’t know about you, but I usually am in shorts when I paddle my Loon or my canoe. If I have to kneel in the boat, don’t want to rub against a rough surface. Also, it would be more difficult to keep clean. And, if your boat is made from plastic, the paint most likey will not stick anyway.
I prefer smooth bottoms
You may take that however you like.

I second that promotion.
Are we talking cellulite here?
Try rubber mesh
like the type sold for sailboat shelves or motorhome cupboards. It is non slip on slick surfaces and you can take it out to clean the boat.
Can also find it in home centers like
the orange box and the one with blue letters.
