Next north sea crossing you make
e-mail me.
Yeah spors move on but no noteworthy paddlers in the british tradition. please!
I don’t think it was the adreneline.
The paddler who owns the Extreme, also owns a Pintail, and when I’m in my Gulfstream, I can’t keep up with him no matter what the conditions, if he wants to race.
My Foster Shadow will stay up with him though. I think when we’re in the same conditions, our adreneline levels even out.
#3,#4, & # 6 are not "advances "
Why aren’t they?
Could you explain why you think 3,4 & 6 are not advances?
Not challanging, just wish to hear reasoning.
Nordkapp LV
It seems with the advent of the Nordkapp LV there is another capable expedition boat that is suitable to paddle unladen.
I’m afraid I was not impressed with the H2O unladen. I felt as if I was skittering around on top of the water. Combined with its seat being higher than an Aquanaut’s (as are its decks), while friendlier than earlier Nordkapps, the H2O still strikes me as likely best carrying a decent load. I’m anxious to try the LV.
Thoughts + humble opinions on my website
NOT being able to adjust the seat and or having it hang off the CP rim are not in the paddlers best interest … rather the manufacturer’s convenience.
and #6?
Pat,
Thank you.
Fortunately, neither of my composite boats (Valley Aquanaut & NDK Romany) have hung seats. Having the seat in my Aquanaut moved forward made a good difference, so, I have the experience of the adavantages of not having a molded in seat. My wife’s P&H Vela has the option of moving the seat forward, which she did.
I read on your website why you do not favor glassed in bulkheads. http://eteamz.active.com/paddleshop/news/index.cfm?cat=204763
I am afraid I didn’t catch why you don’t think recessed deck fittings are an advance.
Doh, … I know I wrote a bunch
but I guess I re-read it and deemed it ‘too much’ a few months ago and forgot that i did not load it in…
IMO there is a BIG difference between flush and recessed with recessed being a detriment to boats performance and handling in anything that gets the deck wet.
Not so great from construction stand point either.
Just another thing that folks expect of boats, even if it does not make sense… IMHHO : )
Like low profile tire / rim combos on trucks.
