You may remember reading an entertaining account written by my friend, Philip Torrens, of surviving a Polar Bear attack [Predatory Rites] that I posted in September. If so, you will recall what a gifted writer he is and perhaps might be interested in reading a splendid trip report that he wrote about a solo trip around Princess Royal Island on the northern BC coast. He did the trip in 2010 but just recently got the photos imbedded correctly in the report. It is sort of long but separated into into 4 chapters and is an easy read. You might want to brew up a pot of tea or coffee or maybe even crack a bottle of your favorite beverage and settle in.
