I’ve recently purchased the Thule Hull-a-Port for use with the Thule Aeroblade crossbars on my vehicle. The 65mm bolts that come with it are too short for mounting, so I have 2 options: get some 80mm bolts to clamp the carrier to the Aeroblade, or purchase the adapter kit so that the T slot is used when mounting. Does anyone have any real world experience with these? I plan to take the carriers off the crossbars when not in use. I’m wondering if the clamp method is easier on/off than the T slot, or if there are other considerations that I’m not thinking of.
