Luckily I’m friends with the local Tiderace rep. I took my xplore-L out vs the pace with a hr and gps on one of our weekly practice sessions. Over a 2 mile course it was a little faster but much tighter fit than my xplore so I couldn’t get very good power transfer due to lack of leg room. Still no comparison to my ski. 5.5 kts for my xplore-l, 5.8 kts for the pace. I’m sure it would have been faster if I had more leg room.
The main complaint I had was the rudder bracket seems to cause a lot of drag in the water. You can hear it causing turbulence so you know you are losing some speed.
