If you don’t know him, picture Robert De Niro in The Deer Hunter!
Nice shot canoeswithduckheads.
Oh, wow, now I get it!
"One shot, Stanley! One shot."
Although in this instance, I blasted away with several twitches of the shutter trying to get something in my sites to fall into a passable pixel pictorial:
Thank you guys kindly for the expressed appreciations. Of the bunch, I guess I was pleased the most with this P-net honored one, although I still say to myself things like, “Tommy should have been framed over the dam horizon out of the background trees. Foreground focus wasn’t sharp enough,” and so-forth and so-on. But, for the most part, it’s OK.
And, should I manage not to leave one camera under the shuttle vehicles floor mat, and, should I manage not to drag the other camera sub-surface with me on an “overly aggressive rollout,” well, then, as Old Lodge Skins said,
“Sometimes the magic works, sometimes it doesn’t.”
Thanks again. I’ll keep shootin’ beyond my Deer Hunter-optimum-according-to-DeNiro (Bobby, not Tommy, that is).
Oh yeah! I liked this photo of Mike/wickerbutt, too:
Chuck, you were too fast for any successful view-screen framing by me! I’ll catch ya next time.
Hey at least you showed my good side!
Personaly I like the shot of Mike better. IMO it’s got real action to it. But maybe that’s because I was there and found that spot quite challenging?
Anyway glad I could be your spokesmodel;-)
