God bless many deaths. Dozens have died. Tornado possibly on the ground for unbelievable unpresidented 200 miles.
Just woke up to the terrible news. Night shift at a large Amazon facility. Possible the longest tornado track on record.
It’s very bad
As time permits, it would be good to hear from people in that area to know you’re OK. I recall several members are from Kentucky, Arkansas and Missouri, but not sure if they were in the track.
Good idea - Communication lines will likely be disrupted so calls to check on members will likely not go through, at least that has often been the case when tornadoes have hit around here. KYEd, boyscout, others in the path, please check in. You’re in our thoughts.
PS: Just spoke with boyscout (near Paducah). Says to let folks know he’s OK but has no internet. He’s about to go check on friends who worked at a factory that was hit.
There were a lot of other tornadoes last night too. A friend’s house in Kansas City Mo. got hot by one. She is okay, but trapped in her house by the dead falls. The Corvette plant there burned, too.
Saw Illinois and Tennessee also hit. Agree comms are best reserved for emergency use. I’m sure members who are close will get a heads up.
