How unfortunate … and completely unsurprising.
Gordon Gekko’s “Greed is Good” (Wall Street, 1987) went out of fashion for awhile, only to be replaced in recent years by shameless selfishness.
I’d love to see the time when the notion of working together for a common good takes root again, and the “I got mine, screw you” crowd crawls back into their bootyholes … but I seem to have lost my rose-colored glasses.
