Trying to decide if I'm foolish

I just ordered a WS Tarpon 140. I have looked at and paddled and tried to fit in several other SOT with no progress. I paddled Tarpon 160s for years but it became too much boat for me so I’ll try the 140 for awhile. I owned one for a short time and traded it for a 160. Too bad FE isn’t around to impart some paddling wisdom.
I have a Stellar S14S which is just too small for my long body. It’s for sale BTW.

It’s never foolish to find a boat to paddle

Not at all foolish! It’s always exciting to get a new boat, especially one that may fit you perfectly. Wishing you many happy adventures on the water in your new ride!

Rookie, nothing fits me perfectly but that has improved since I was a kid. I’m hoping the 140 fits like it did a few years ago.

The 140 is a great fit and a really good workout whether it’s wanted or not. Tomorrow I’ll be paddling the Pungo 140.

“Too bad FE isn’t around to impart…”? I’m your Huckleberry:

Try’n to decide if you’re foolish?
Seems to me you’re engaged in fool’s errand,
for as soon as you bring in the intelligence,
you’re dumbfounded before that mirror in which you’re starin’.

Yes, I know that this bears some reflection,
as lookin’ back someone Mays gain on you.
And if Sensie St. Elmo was fired up,
he’d fire back, “Quit yer Yak’n! Get back in canoe!”
(the Rapidfire for such a Pilgrim would do.)

Foolish?..would it stop you if we said it was?

Might have at least made me a bit more cautious.
