When installing Tugeyes,instead of using dish soap as they suggest to lubracate the tugeye before inserting it into the hull,use a little clear silicone calk. It lubricates just as well and creates a perfect seal after installatin. Use a little silicon on the plastic conector tube ends befor installation also.

I might consider a thin urethane like
Seamgrip instead. I don’t believe the myth about silicone eternally corrupting a plastic surface for future repairs, but I think urethanes stand up better and adhere better as well.
