I’m sorry, but “Charity begins at home.” And no matter how well meaning/worthy the undertaking or “race”–Such an endeavor when personally under-capitalized is fool hearty. One wouldn’t take a boat on their car even a few hours from home to participate in any event, without first procuring the necessary means to pay their own way back(at least I wouldn’t.)
