We’re headed for the Umpqua River valley, but have limited time to scout it out. Is there a scenic section that’s non-whitewater this time of year? Not finding much info online. Thanks in advance!
Thought I read about Kellogg to Elkton, but can’t find it now. We’re fairly experienced kayakers incl. sea kayaking but no whitewater
I have floated it twice in drift boats. Stay well below the confluence. The area around Elkton is okay if you have moving water experience. Check a guide. You may be better off downstream on the lower river. There are plenty of rock outcrops that create small rapids.
