Upgrade Seat-touring kayak

I have a Perception Carolina 14.5 and hate the low seatback, which is too low for any lumbar support and gives me a backache. I’ve been thinking of trying to replace it with one of the fishing seats made for SOTs, such as the Surf-to-Summit and Skwoosh brand seats. Does anyone have experience with this? Or other suggestions for store-bought or do-it-yourself seat upgrades?

If your cockpit doesn’t match the Old Towns you will need to do some creative work to adapt it to your kayak due to the weird way it’s assembled. Mine is velcroed to the bottom of my kayak. That works pretty well.

I believe this is one of the best seats on the market.
