Does anybody have experience on the Upper James, period? I’m planning on kayaking and/or canoeing (several of us) from near Clifton Forge to Snowden. I’m trying to figure out my camping options…the only sites I see are with an outfitter…I guess there are good places to camp along the bank of the national forest? I’ll just have to check my phone and make sure I’m not leaving the NF and I’ll be stranded for miles in a private property area.
