I am planning a canoe trip from Spring Gap to Sheperdstown. Does anybody have a good way to find the C&O campsites from the river?? Thx

Look for pathways
There is always a path from the sites down to the river. Keep your eyes peeled for the paths, and you will find the sites.



I see a previous poster has referred you to a site for GPS coordinates. With that info, you should have no problems.

Forgot to mention
Maryland DNR has a handy set of water trail maps for the upper Potomac. Hopefully it’s still in print… give them a call
