The Methodist Camp at Lake Hriffen near Leesburg, FL have summer camps for canoe racers. We were fortunate to be paddling the Lake Griffen Blueway when they came out to practice. Oh my…fast.
Sprints heats start August 2nd. She’s a little older now at 19 (the race in the video was the 2019 Worlds) and is definitely still considered a strong contender for a medal.
For anyone who has ever thought that their boat is tippy, you have no idea what tippy is until you try to kneel in one of those boats!
