Used kayak advice

Just put in float bags wherever needed and fully inflate them. It’ll stop stuff from rolling around. Spent all day once listening to a fellow paddler’s spare water bottle roll from side to side. Drove me nuts.

Lol… I know what you mean. Back in the 70s a bunch of us went to Big Bear lake and rented a few of those small aluminum fishing boats and by the end of the day all you could hear were the empty beer bottles rolling around the bottom of the boats. Young and crazy days.

You need to spend $8000 for a full carbon race boat for it to be any good otherwise its junk.

Nah $300 for a used boat in rough condition and a pair of paddles is a good buy. Rough condition it could still last you for years unless it has signs of impending fatigue, distress or failure in the plastic. Enjoy maybe its enough that you don’t even need to spend more money on upgrades it may be enough.
