Used whitewater boats for small / light beginner ww paddler?

I was referring to the paddler’s physical condition . WW seems to be mostly a young person’s sport.

 ah yes. i am in my mid fourties so pretty late to the party

diesel is a solid choice as well, deep thigh hooks would make it more attractive for a smaller person. Width could be an issue, too wide?. At 215 pounds I like my medium diesel, I just take a lot of water in the chest. Wet ride, great way to cool off.

and nothin’ wrong with a mamba, well maybe it’s a little too heavy/slow

as far as a boat paddling “like a pig”- very slow, no glide, and may also have poor tracking

That’s not “late.” I started paddling in my mid-40s as well. A big factor is that I have been active most of my life and keep myself fairly well conditioned and flexible for the sports I do.

You are young compared to many here. I’ve got 2 children older than you.

You said that you are in Germany. Look for a Prijon. They have several WW boats that are out of production that would do what you want. The plastic they are made from is tough as woodpecker lips. Look for a Curve, Cali Pro, Alien, Fly even a Hurricane or T-Canyon. Don’t be afraid of the age.
