Avo RM coaming is very shallow - shock cord skirts tend to slip off relatively easily, but the randed skirt creates quite a nice seal
Composite touring boats tend to have very pronouncing coaming lips - sharp and deep, sometimes on the narrow side. My NRS Kilt skirt would basically jam into the groove on Valley and PH boats, the deck wouldn’t even stretch whole lot. Since the rand got really jammed in, any attempts to pull the skirt straight up become an exercise in futility and a bear on the skirt.
