Valley Skerray??

Was the Skerray Valley’s attempt to take their proven but more challenging Nordkap hull and tone it down for the beginer/intermediate paddler? Or are they really two completely different hulls with different paddling characteristics?

totally different hulls…
The Skerray is a bigger version of a Pintail in my opinion. It is extremely playful (needs a little skeg to track comfortably) and it is a joy to paddle.

I agree

The Skerray RM is essentially a plastic Pintail. It's an inch wider, but it's not that noticeable. It's an excellent rough water boat. I haven't paddled the composite version.
