After several months of making kayaking videos, I finally got to try kayaking myself!
I went out on a very stable tandem kayak without a front paddler, on some very calm water in Williamsburg, VA. It was great!
Very beautiful area. And very relaxing paddling around the calm water. So much different than the rapids and waterfalls I usually film in my videos.

Hope your videos will continue since you are becoming a paddler. Lots of fun with quiet water paddling especially when going solo - easier to get up close with nature.
A tandem will be more balanced & easier to paddle with another person in it, or get wild next time and paddle a single kayak. Welcome to many new paddling adventures!
