My kayak paddle has got water stuck on the inside and i can’t get it out. Please HELP!!!

I had this happen to an old aluminum shaft paddle. I just took it apart and leaned it on the sunny side of my house shaft ends down. Occasionally I would go out and try to fling the water out.
