Looking for ideas for a possible week-long “wilderness” trip in ADK in early to mid Sept. Experience includes Algonquin, northern Maine, etc. Prefer river or river/lake. Reasonable portages ok. Prefer point-to-point or loop. Want to avoid crowds and motorized boats. Usually move downriver (i.e., new campsite) every night. Any ideas are very much appreciated.
