Weird Boats

I’ve got a page on my club’s website (www.banburycanoe.org.uk), dedicated to the weird materials that kayaks and anoes have been built from. So far, I’ve got examples of concrete, cardboard, paper, milk cartons, beer bottles, pumpkins … even yorkshire puddings. Does anyone know of any other peculiar materials that have been used to build boats?

wow !!!
amazing !!! concrete !!!

Driftwood and caribou skin.

Oh Mike…
Rocket 88 Olds car hood, mid 1950’s vintage. Nice light blue.

I wouldn’t want to try car topping it, although I suppose it could ride in its original position. We dragged it with our pony to the swamp down the road.
