Felt like the end of summer. Labor Day AM temps in the upper 50s; beach parking lot was only partially filled; only a few folks in the water. Granted we had only 2’ waves. Personally, I like the colder seasons of New England for better waves and much less crowded breaks. Welcome fall!
Magic Time starts now and goes to about Thanksgiving.
I was camping last week right before Labor Day, and the weather was rainy.
We were the only people in the campground.
The best time of year to camp. With a nice tarp, the rain cam be soothing. There’s something magical about the forest in the rain. Things are muted, colors are more intense, the water dripping off the leaves is therapeutic.
