Our local paddling club had it’s 28th annual New Years morning paddle this morning. We went upstream from Kruger Landing to just above the Kalamazoo Street bridge (Lansing - East Lansing Michigan). The river is way up with good current. This did make it easier in a way as most of the wood is under water. Still a work out though. Great way to get the year started.
Nobody died & nobody swam - a pretty experienced group. The most dangerous part was unloading. I hit a patch of ice going into my garage with a load & went down. No harm no foul though.
