I have a stock tuff weave Advantage with footbracing. I swapped the composite seat for the larger plastic wenonah bucket. I dont/cant kneel in the boat, is there any “advantage” stability wise by lowering the seat? my impression is that the smaller seat allowed the option of kneeling? ive got allot of miles on the boat but dont find I have the same confidence as others claim in open river conditions. im almost 6 foot and 225 pounds. lowering the seat cant be trialed as it involves some hacksawing of the pedestal mounting setup.
I had the seat in my Voyager lowered
2" and it noticeably improved the stability.
