Wenonah three peice wood gunwales Q:

I just picked up a Kev Flex-Core Prism, and I notice up near the bow the innermost inwale isn’t being grabbed by the screws from the outside.

Is it the case that the screws through the outwales are supposed to catch both inwales? If so, should I just clamp the gunwales and tighten up the screws a bit? It’s either that, or a touch of glue and clamps.

Thanks

I don’t have an answer, but my first move would be to send an email to Wenohah and I trust they would give you an informed answer pretty quickly.

In my past experience they have been excellent at routing these type of enquiries to someone who really knows.

Both inwales are glued to the hull. You can completely remove the outwale and the inwales are not going anywhere. I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

AH!
So I will just re-glue it can call it a day. Easy fix

Thanks for the info.
