I used to know but have forgotten the equation now. I do remember it had to do with the distance from your elbow to your S5 vertebra, then some fraction thereof combined with a ratio of the pumpkin’s diameter multiplied by π.
As I recall, it was called the Pumpkin Pie theorem, but I can’t find the correct reference when I Google it. I think it predates the Internet era.
