The art of duckshooting from a canoe has come up in conversations with locals lately. So I’ve been told - mallards tend to not be frightened by human-powered boats. Getting close enough for a shot seems to not be a problem - even without a camo cover, and especially if drifting along a river.

If it was with my 12 ga, single shot Winchester, I would want a barge and a lot of soft padding behind me.
