What you don't see when you paddle!

Two ecosystems fresh and salt.

And something to help see it better…
I heard about these awhile ago but haven’t tried one yet. It looks like something affordable, that could fit in a pack, and be usable on the water. Any one here tried one?

Taking a telescope to gaze at the stars while river camping makes a person feel so small and insignificant. This might make us feel really big and significant… a balanced view of the world is important, no?.

And you can see what you’re ingesting when you swim.

:joy: oh my God

As if we were searching for a better reason to keep the open side up?

But we do recall paddling before the clean water act, right? Would you really want to swim in water that won’t even support flatworms? Its like those desert survival manuals where they always say in emergency situations don’t take water from a source that doesn’t have life in it - its probably toxic.
