Where to Paddle

I’m a new-comer to overnight canoe/kayak tripping. Looking for a good place in the Kentucky area. Any ideas? Also, what’s the regulation for camping locales? I’m guessing I can’t pitch a tent anywhere…

Big South Fork has some great paddling. All of it is surronded by National Park so camping is allowed anywhere. Station camp to Blue Heron would be perfect once you honed your skills a little bit. The majority is class II at normal water levels with only one class IV(devil's jump" right before the takeout. It is easily portaged. It is a 19 mile trip with THE most beautiful scenery in KY. Great fishing also.
PM me for more info if you like.

And the possibilities are good
about anywhere in the state. West is LBL with back country camping. Central is Mammoth Cave. BSF in the east.
