Staying the weekend near Ontonagon MI in the UP. I've been told there is some good canoeing rivers in the area, specifically on the Ontonagon river. Anyone know of a good 2-3 hour route? where to put in and take out? Anything around the Porkies?

Follow Up
Wasnt able to find anyone to shuttle us in the UP. We ended up paddling the Oxbow on the pine river near iron mountain Mi. Its a leisurely 2hr paddle, the put in and take out are about 800’ apart on the road. Only a few minor portages due to low water.
Heading back to the UP in August, not sure where yet. Any suggestions? We have paddled the Two Hearted before, so…any thoughts?
