The Androscoggin is a good paddle, as you know. It also hold huge trout and landlocked salmon. My challenge is that I tend to focus sequentially. If It is fishing, that’s it. Same with paddling. My simple mind can’t multi-task. My small car also can’t handle all the gear for both. Thank goodness! LOL!
A touch of fall is here in the north woods. Cold mornings to go with the cup of java. Leaves are turning color. Going down near Mt Washington today to fish either the Peabody and/or Ellis rivers.
Looks like some tiny 1.5’ waves for this weekend. Perfect for those looking to (re)acquaint themselves with longboats in the surf zone. I havent been out in a longboat for almost a year. So, looking forward to it.
Wrapping up my week in the White Mountains, fishing for wild trout.
BTW, the rivers are running low (except for the dam releases at Errol and Pontook) because of this extended dry spell in New England. Little ww to be had. Tiny wave play may be It.
