Wilderness System Phase 3 seat parts

Hi All:

I need HELP!! About 2 years ago I purchased a used “As is” Wilderness Systems Pungo 140 with the Phase 3 Seat from a local Outfitter. I got a GREAT deal!! The problem is that the back support bar is bent. I would like to get a new one. I contacted Wilderness Systems and they told me I had to contact a dealer. So far no luck. Can anyone tell me where I can get one?

Thanks!

Good luck with that!
You can buy the back band for about $40 at many places like REI (search for “harmony backband”) but that’s different than a back rest… I had put it on my Tsunami 145 while I had it and it was better than the back rest for actual paddling. For just sitting (fishing etc.) the back rest is a good thing to have though).

not wanting to alarm you
but Wilderness Systems has a terrible service department. They always palm you off to the dealer which in some cases is not that helpful. Paddle friends of mine with Wilderness System boats are left to their own devices when something goes wrong with their kayaks.

The dealer is not willing to help them even if the kayak was pourchased from them!

Would it be difficult to fabricate the bracket yourself?

I can relate
I’ve been waiting like 4 weeks for a bulkhead for my Pamlico 140- it was supposed to take 2.

This any help?
