No kidding! Those teeth! Wow.
I’m amazed at how well the kayak held up

Expect to see a new necklace and probably a new tattoo…

I might have needed a new heart.

This is getting to be a common story with variations.

Common? I really haven’t heard of it happening much. Even counting surf boards it’s a fairly rare thing.

Wow!

As I recall , a gator punctured a WS SOT in Florida. They sent the guy a new one.

You haven’t been paying attention to Paddling.com. Seems like there’s one a month at least. Then too I’m in Florida. Lots of shark bites at New Symerna.

We’ve had several a summer on the SC coast. Most have been non life threatening.

No incidents in Michigan :#

Creepy, that’s 70 miles south of me, which probably isnt far to a great white. Though I am typically within a couple miles of shore, vs the channel islands which are much further out in open water and probably more popular with large predators

The kayak held up amazingly well. My surfski would probably end up looking more like this guy’s https://www.surfski.info/latest-news/story/1676/like-being-hit-by-a-truck-samoa-shark-incident.html

The guy with the ski was lucky. He didn’t even have a life jacket!

@String - Is SC Southern California or South Carolina?

South Carolina

hmmmm…as a Georgia resident who occasionally drives to Charleston to get my ocean jones on, I was kind of hoping for southern Cal.
