Your paddling wish list for Christmas?

Got can of cashews and mixed. Not big cans but gone now unfortunately.

Where I’m at is was -6 with wind. The dog refused to go outside. My Christmas wish is that the car starts tomorrow.

An older Tsunami-14 ad someone who is free to go paddling with me AND willing and able to pay half the gas and shuttle costs.

Make mine a Sterling Kayaks Progression. Carbon would be a bonus.

Northerners know how to play in winter’s winds.

We’ve had cold, wetish weather with our youngest grandsons trapped inside.
The person with the kite could be me after a day with all that noise and energy.

I was hoping that Santa would bring me a Valley Anas Acuta but I can see that getting it on to his sleigh, never mind getting it down my chimney, would have been problematic.

So I had to settle for a nice jacket and some exercise clothes.

If I can have a New Year’s wish, it would be for Santa to take his damn polar air back to the north pole so I can get out and paddle during my time off!

Better ask for an inflatable next year.

My best Christmas present arrived yesterday. My kids and theirs showed up in force and removed all the leaves from our yard.

It started. The temp was -13. We put the Car on “S” (south) and went home.

Was that air temp or wind chill? Whichever, definitely brisk. Glad your car started.

My son and his family put their car on N and headed for PA into the teeth of it to visit friends. I don’t have any friends I want to see that badly.

Rookie…temperature …wind chill sucked. But honestly I’m chillier here in North Florida.

We went to put the canoes away but I couldn’t resist. I had to take a paddle. Even thou it was -8 degrees Celsius it felt beautiful to be on the water. Enjoy!!

I got zip/nada for Christmas; there was/is nothing I really wanted, or needed.
Asked Santa for an early Spring, and longer Summer, and Fall seasons in 2018…
If Santa can’t “pony up” on the weather, I’d settle for a new Mustang GT 500.

Why isn’t that water frozen?

Either movement or salt. salt freezes at 28.4° F and -8° C is 17.6° F. Measured water in back yard salt water at 24° F yesterday. So open for ideas?
