The way I see it, if a new forum poster is not going to bother to add a profile and private contact option nor post feedback to responses they get, they are not all that serious anyway. They got some valid advice here – if they want to continue the exchange they started that’s up to them.
On most forums people can wait weeks or months for responses. Sure they will get good and not so good suggestions on here, but getting a lot of different ones will help them make an educated choice. If they want the same answers about kayak selection they’d get from the bored teenager at the local Dick’s who is only working there to get employee discounts on his Nikes, why should they bother asking on here?
