I see this string is a few month old, but I’ll play
my handle comes from Angel (re: BTVS) because I’m an attorney, but not an evil one
My avatar is just me, wearing a hat, because I have no hair and don’t want scalp burn

SOT Kayak for me…one day I will be brave and try a sit in on some flat water
open ocean makes me happy
paddling for 10 years now
the newest one is the stealth fusion 480… I love the livewell! but I ordered a stealth pro fisha 575 that should be arriving around the end of March and I can’t wait to get it out in the water!
What do you paddle? I can’t remember from your post…
Love that you little one likes the water! My daughter used to go with me but at 10 she decided she no longer likes it. I’m holding out hope for my 4 yo son : )
I am impressed by your kayak and your newer one. Looks like their parent was a surf ski .
US fishing yaks tend to be short, wide, and heavy, imo.
If I didn’t have too many boats…
Agree with string, it’s a beauty. At first glance I thought it was a race boat, until I saw the rod holders. That looks like an entire different experience than your typical SOT.
Dont know anything about paddling the ocean. My favorite is the 145 Tsunami. I started with rec boats and switched up to the Tsunami for the closed cockpit. It has the right combination of speed, comfort, foot room, and ability to handle the conditions that I feel comfortable paddling.
The grand daughters will be 11 and 14 this May and July. They’ve handled 5 miles twice. I bought the 14 yr old an SP Tsunami, but she prefers the140 Tsunami that I bought for her mother. She has the stamina to go further. I hope to get her up to 10 miles before summer is over.
The SP will go to the 11 yr old. She’s funny. There’s a lot of cabin cruisers traffic enter the channel for a yacht club. I was worried about the wake afyer we went out past the no wake zone. As the wakes crossed us, she was thrilled waiting for more.
name: mogeton…derived from an old pet’s name and plants I was studying awhile ago and it was funny to my husband and I, so it stuck
Age: 44
Where are you? Northeast of Toronto, Ontario
Kayak or canoe? Both, but currently kayak-obsessed
Type of water-flat, ocean, river, white? Flat, Great Lake, river, really, anything except for white water river (so far)
Years paddling? Canoe: 24yrs, kayak: 3.5yrs, but only got really into it in the last 2
Name: JCH_ski (initials plus my favorite activity - sorry folks, cross country skiing will always be #1, and paddling will always be an off-season activity, however much I enjoy it) Age: Impolite to ask a lady her age. But, 56. Location: Keweenaw Peninsula (Upper Michigan. Not to be confused with Northern Michigan, which is south. And east. And a 5 hour drive from here. ) Kayak or Canoe: Kayak, although I did some canoe racing after college, and canoed the Boundary Waters once. Type of Water: Smaller lakes and rivers/streams, with hopes to get on Lake Superior in the future, and the Au Sable River (my family has a camp down there, on the main branch). Years: Well, hard to say. A tiny bit of paddling as a kid, canoe racing in 1989, Boundary Waters maybe 10-15 years ago, and started kayaking several years ago. Just got more into it 2 years ago.
Thanks! Stealth really did a great job of resolving many of the issues that trouble the less barge-y fishing kayaks. I learned a hard lesson one day coming in through heavy surf where I lost a tackle box full of jigs and lures, a paddle, a windbreaker, and lot’s of other stuff. The worst part of that was knowing that all of those items were now in the ocean, and not retrievable. With the stealth, everything can be stowed inside. Even if gear get’s knocked loose, it won’t go overboard. I could go on forever extolling the virtues of these boats, but I’m saving it for my review of the 575 when it comes in
