grey object at my bow

I carry a .357 Mag. in my
yak for this type of situation.

Question? Psychologicaly, it seems that we (my self included) older p.netters feel a need to show our experience and wisdom when a newbie asks a somewhat silly question. Is this a fair assessment, or are we merely witty, sarcastic jerks?

How bout just “fun” and amusing

Besides I'll bet you a new canoe that the poster really knew what it was in the first place...

Hey P-140
You settle it for us. Do you feel insulted and trod upon? Or do you feel initiated and accepted into the group, and ready to respond with tongue in cheek? Paddle happy.

Fido wants to kiss you and make up.

My kayak has one and I gaurantee it isn’
t for flotation. It is a styrofoam block to support the deck. I have no front well and the deck is very long and wide so if it weren’t for that block the top would cave with any weight. Also I recently sank my kayak, and it took all of ten seconds, so I know it doesn’t help at all with floatation.
