Your still dead wrong, g2d and won’t…
…show us otherwise when it would be easy to do, if you could.
In checking on a few things for this little exchange of ours, I’ve found that you have contributed in a helpful manner a number of times on this board. Frankly, I was pleasantly surprised. I thought worse of you than I should have. My apologies. I think you’d find the situation quite similar for me, if you took the time to find out. I’ve attempted to be helpful on this board for several years but have become contentious on a couple of topics over the years. Unfortunately and interestingly enough, you’ve been directly involved in two of those exchanges.
Benchmade H2O FTW
REALLY AGAIN !!!
Ok Pee brain… (remember that). I did not back off and I stand hard by my suggestion that when you consider a weapon a GUN is to be considered first and for most.Even in the great neighborhood of the outer banks. Carry it where ever you paddle, even in the great neighborhood of the outer banks and any other great neighborhood you may paddle in. I’m finished with you again…Have another cigar…
YOU ARE NOW DISMISSED
P.S.g2d
Contentious: According to Webster,
Always ready to argue, quarrelsome. That is you…
You guys jumped me for no reason. Not only did you suggest I should take mood enhancing drugs. You brought my Phallic member into the conversation. Then you quote me incorrectly and got the idea that somehow I backed off.Who do you think you are? You really must be some elitist snot who thinks there is no other way but yours. You made this personal, I released you and you continue to mention me. My suggestion is leave me out of your conversation.Work in whatever mental hospital it is you work in and enjoy your cigar.

I just love knife threads, so I thought I could reinvigorate this one.

Knives from scuba shops
Usually blunt-tipped as well, so safer, and hardy enough to work for safety but still cut cheese at lunch for quite a while without needing sharpening. These tend to resist salt water just fine.
Yep - Mini/BCD knives
Not Sea Hunt shark killer sized, fit well on PFD.
question for g2d
Exactly how much space does a knife take up in your kit? Enough to justify leaving one behind?
Please spare me the horror stories, those address improper use.
Interesting thread
Aside from the protracted side topic, that is.
I borrowed my husband’s “stainless steel” river knife on a month-long ocean trip. Very early, it began sprouting rust spots. So, although we have such “river knives” in our household, I will be buying something that actually stands up to daily salt water exposure.
Spyderco has a large facility less than 40 minutes’ drive from my home. I don’t know if they sell direct there but I’m going to check it out.
